Welcome to my California Temecula Valley, Ramona Valley and San Diego County Wine Touring Guide. This page is constantly being updated. Any errors are probably my typing. I've been enjoying wine touring in the area and figured I'd pass on some information. This page is ENTIRELY Non-Commercial! I have no connection to any winery except as a happy consumer and occasional visitor. I hope you enjoy visiting some of these places on your search for the pleasure of wine. Temecula Valley is just 90 miles southeast of Los Angeles and 60 miles north of San Diego. Take Rancho California Road exit off I-15 to the wineries. With rolling hills covered with vineyards, the Temecula Valley gets ocean breezes through a gap in the coastal mountains that produces a unique micro-climate for producing some quality wines. These wineries are producing a variety of red and white wines.

In San Diego County, there are wineries and tasting rooms spread in San Diego, Escondido, Ramona, Carlsbad and Julian. Being more widely distributed they are not as well visited.

Ramona Valley is the newest American Viticultural Area (AVA) located in Central San Diego County. South of Temecula Valley and San Pasqual Valley, Ramona Valley AVA was granted on 6 January 2006.
